I’m in a quandary. I don’t know who to cheer for this year. You see, usually I’m a Green Bay Packers fan, but they dissed my boy Brett so badly this year I don’t know if I can still cheer for them. I know what you’re thinking… a player shouldn’t be more important than the team. It’s the team that you cheer for. Ya ya, let me ask you one question… have you seen Brett Favre?! Yum. I mean, um, he’s an amazing quarterback, even if he is old.

Last year my dear hubby got me tickets to see Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers play the NY Giants in the NFC Conference Championship game. It was a 17 hour drive, we had 3rd row, end zone tickets and it was the 3rd coldest game in the history of the league. Lambeau Field was amazing and it was the single best sporting event I’ve ever been to; even if the Packers lost. I thought I had been at Brett Favre’s last game, turned out it was just his last game as a Packer.




So, here we are. Favre is playing for the New York Jets. I don’t know if I can be a fan of the Jets. They seem so boring. They’ve been around since 1960 but they don’t seem to have any real character like the Bears, Cowboys, Packers or Steelers. I guess I’ll just start by cheering for Favre and see where it goes from there.
